    MOBILE, Ala. (BP) -- Trustees of the University of Mobile have selected Timothy L. Smith as the fourth president its 54-year history.

    Smith, 52, is provost of Anderson University in South Carolina. Previously, he was dean of Union University's school of nursing in Tennessee where he oversaw a 79 percent expansion in enrollment and founded the Center for Excellence in Healthcare Practice that included a nurse residency program for five hospitals. ...     MOBILE, Ala. (BP) -- Mark Foley, president of the University of Mobile, has announced he will retire in 2016 after more than 17 years as head of the Baptist-affiliated college.

    MOBILE, Ala. (BP) -- Senior Drew Ballesteros had a lofty goal for the University of Mobile -- to share the Gospel in all 50 states during one academic year. It would be dubbed the "Great American Road Trip."

    "We believed that if we stepped up our game, our university could somehow make history," said Ballesteros, who graduated from the university in Mobile, Ala., this May with a bachelor of science in theology. Read More
