2 FAITH-related events scheduled during SBC

PHOENIX (BP)--Two events are scheduled during the 2003 Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting to extend appreciation to pastors involved in FAITH and to give pastors of non-FAITH churches more information about the strategy.

The FAITH/Sunday School area of LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention will sponsor both events.

A FAITH Force Multipliers' lunch meeting for FAITH-trained pastors will be held Tuesday, June 17, immediately following the morning session of the SBC annual meeting. This free event will be at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in the Regency Ballroom on the first floor. Tickets are limited to 700 participants. Bobby Welch, pastor of First Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, Fla., and co-creator of the FAITH/Sunday School Evangelism Strategy, will be the speaker.

Pastors of non-FAITH churches who want to learn more about how the FAITH/Sunday School evangelism strategy can work in their congregations and help their churches grow are invited to a free FAITH awareness luncheon, Tuesday, June 17, during the convention's lunch break. Tickets are limited to 250 participants. The lunch also will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, in the Phoenix Ballroom on the second floor.

While there is no charge for either luncheon, tickets are required for admission. Tickets may be picked up on Sunday, June 15, from 4-9 p.m., and on Monday, June 16, from 8 a.m.-9 p.m., at the FAITH information table in the SBC registration area.
