  • Pauline Gore receives degree from Union Univ. at age 87

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)--Union University awarded a bachelor of arts degree to Pauline LaFon Gore, the 87-year-old mother of Vice President Al Gore, at an April 10 private luncheon in Nashville, Tenn.

    Pauline Gore is a former student at the 2,500-student Baptist-affiliated university, which was founded in 1823. Gore also is a native of Jackson, Tenn., where Union is located.
