    ALPHARETTA, Ga. (BP) -- Less than a year after North American Mission Board (NAMB) president Kevin Ezell introduced the 3 Circles: Life Conversation Guide at the Southern Baptist Convention in Baltimore, NAMB is releasing a Spanish version of the guide and giving it away.

  • SBC reports more churches, fewer people

    NASHVILLE (BP) -- Southern Baptists are adding more churches but serving fewer members who are giving fewer dollars, 2014 data compiled by LifeWay Christian Resources shows.

    The number of cooperating churches within the Southern Baptist Convention rose for the 15th consecutive year, but the churches lost more than 200,000 members, the biggest one-year decline since 1881, according to the Annual Church Profile (ACP) compiled by LifeWay in cooperation with Baptist state conventions.     FLORIEN, La. (BP) -- Arturo Us is "thankful to God I'm a U.S. citizen."

    Us, who hails from Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, ministers to Hispanics throughout three Louisiana parishes (counties) as pastor of El Aposento Alto Baptist Church in Florien.

    NASHVILLE (BP) -- Los que están a favor de la elección del aborto superan en número a los que están a favor de la vida en EE.UU. por primera vez en siete años, de acuerdo a la encuesta Gallup 2015 Valores y Creencias.

    La mitad de los estadounidenses se identifican como pro-elección en la encuesta que desde 2001 ha rastreado las posturas de los estadounidenses sobre el aborto.
